Technical equipment
In our dental practice and practice for oral surgery at Mainz main station we offer you the entire spectrum of a fully digitalized practice. Here you can get your own impression of our high-quality dental technology even before you visit us.
Digital X-ray
A thorough examination of your jaw and teeth will give us a first impression of your individual health situation. In addition to x-rays of the affected individual sections, panoramic images of the entire jaw using OPG (orthopantomograph) also play an important role. At the beginning of your treatment, we can get an initial overview of the jaw bone and tissue conditions with your help. In this way, we can guarantee that we have created all the important prerequisites for individual and gentle treatment planning for you.
Dental Laboratory
In the field of dental technology, we work closely with master laboratories in and around Mainz in order to guarantee you high-quality and individually manufactured dental prostheses according to the latest standards. This cooperation not only enables short distances and short reaction times, but also ensures that highly qualified dental technicians who specialise in the care you require manufacture your dental prosthesis.
Whether crowns, bridges, prostheses, occlusal splints, implants or inlays – your dental prosthesis is always made by our partners from high-quality materials and with the help of the latest digital technology at the highest level.
This ensures that complex treatment cases can also be discussed and attended to directly and on site. In this way, we can guarantee you an aesthetic and functionally high-quality dental prosthesis that is manufactured using the latest dental technology – because we want to help you quickly return to a healthy and beautiful smile after suffering dental trauma or tooth loss.
Operating microscope
Best prospects for root canal treatments and Co – thanks to our powerful operating microscope with high magnification (6-22x) and angled optics we can increase your success prognosis, especially for root canal treatments, and optimize the treatment quality.
Especially for root canal treatments, the conventional magnification with magnifying glasses is often not sufficient. By using the ultra-modern surgical microscope, even hair-thin root canals can be made visible and ideally illuminated today. But in other areas of dentistry, too, extremely precise treatment is possible and prevents pathological findings or important details of teeth, jaws or soft tissues from being overlooked.
In this way we can guarantee you the best treatment prospects not only for root canal treatments – for lifelong enjoyment of your teeth.
Three-dimensional implant planning / X-rays
In cooperation with the specialists of the University Hospital Mainz we offer you in your dental practice Dr. Blume in Mainz a modern DVT planning with the best equipment. The digital volume tomograph (DVT) enables three-dimensional images of the entire jaw. Here we can recognize even the smallest details such as the course of the nerve tracts or bone density and thus provide you with an optimal treatment. Since the natural data are displayed in detail and true to scale, we can carry out your treatment or surgical intervention particularly gently and safely. On the basis of the data obtained, we plan the subsequent procedure individually and can, for example, simulate in advance which implant size and functions will achieve the best functional and esthetic results for you.
In addition, in contrast to conventional X-ray procedures, DVT X-rays are a particularly low-radiation variant that enables minimally invasive and gentle treatment.
Intraoral camera
Close at hand – Using an intraoral camera the size of a toothbrush, we can present images of your teeth directly on a connected screen. To give you an insight into your mouth, which is otherwise reserved for the dentist and his team, we use this modern technical aid in our practice in Mainz.
This enables us to explain our diagnoses and treatment concepts to you in a particularly clear way, and you also have the opportunity to convince yourself visually of the high quality of our dental fillings and dentures.
