Knochenaufbau
The presence of sufficient jaw bone is essential for the firm and long-term anchoring of dental implants.
In various situations it may be necessary to build up the jaw bone for further treatment, we speak of augmentation. Different reasons cause the bone of the jaw to recede and thus prevent further implantological and prophetic restorations.
The most common reasons for the bone loss are tooth loss, not optimally fitting prostheses which exert pressure on the bone and progressive periodontal diseases.
If these changes are not diagnosed and treated early, bone augmentation may be necessary.
When planning the bone augmentation we proceed very meticulously in order to provide you with the best treatment result. We only use scientifically sound diagnostic and surgical procedures for this purpose.
As with every treatment, we will discuss all treatment alternatives with you in a personal discussion in order to determine the most optimal method for you.
